Antique Shopping

Or should I say antique browsing since we didn’t actually buy anything.

We went up to our favorite vintage furniture shop looking for things for the soon-to-be-new-house, which is looking like it’ll be ours by the end of February (fingers crossed, touch wood).

The shop is in a converted barn in lovely peaceful countryside about 20 minutes north of Harrogate, just at the foot of the Yorkshire Dales.

It’s packed with a mixture of reclaimed furniture, handmade accessories, and restored armchairs and I just love the atmosphere.

On our way back, we stopped into a new antiques centre that’s just opened near our house. There were lots of cool things but it was a place you’d need longer to rummage through I think.

Loved these tins!

And have my eye on this chest of drawers.

Still, we decided we probably shouldn’t start buying things until we have actually exchanged contracts and know for sure that the house is ours! I’m hoping that will be done in the next few weeks.

Tomorrow I’m heading into York for a day out, so watch this space!
